Playa de la Malagueta is Málaga's most famous urban beach. La Malagueta, between the Port of Málaga and La Caleta beach, is one of the most famous beaches for both tourists and locals. With dark sand and moderate swells, it’s 1,200 metres long and an average width of 45 metres long. It also has a palm tree-lined seafront promenade.
This urban beach is ten minutes from the city centre in the La Malagueta neighbourhood next to Muelle Uno. It has ample leisure and entertainment offerings, as well as services like sunbed and beach umbrella rentals and sailing equipment. The beach has a children’s play area that turns it into a perfect place for a family fun day.
This beach is next to the Real Club Mediterráneo de Málaga, Spain’s oldest yacht club.
Furthermore, this beach has been awarded the Blue Flag, a distinction awarded by the European Foundation for Environmental Education.
