Playa Burriana is a large, sandy beach situated at the eastern end of town and is Nerja’s premier bathing location.
The beach stands out for its crystal clear waters and fine, golden sand. Its wide variety of amenities and updated facilities make it a popular destination for both locals and visitors. It possesses a Q for Quality seal since 2018 and has flown the Blue Flag year after year.
Only a kilometre from Nerja, there is a lovely beachfront promenade full of souvenir shops and other businesses. You can also enjoy its restaurants and beach bars like the famous Restaurante Ayo, known throughout Spain for its wood-fired paella.
